About DMAIA

Divine Mercy American International Academy (DMAIA) is founded on a new educational philosophy of spiritual rationalism, that is, an inspirational appreciation of the nothingness of transient humanity. There is a sense of nothingness that envelops human existence, that renders extreme materialism, selfishness and greed meaningless. This transient humanity has an obligation to itself to heed to an injunction to a common brotherhood in Christ. The Christian life is both a privilege and an obligation to serve the less privileged in society. Life is a privilege and an opportunity to serve God through humanity, especially through the less privileged.

A meaningful life is one that gives its best for the good of others, in appreciation of Divine Grace and Mercy. It is one based on selfless love and a commitment to leave positive impacts on the lives of others. We believe the human family has to be nurtured in the love of Christ by alleviating all man-made miseries through quality education. So, the Academy aims to provide intellectual, spiritual, moral and social foundations to men and women of all faiths and nationalities and from all socio-economic experiences and backgrounds to help them become leaders in their communities and beyond.

Divine Mercy American International Academy (DMAIA) agrees with the United Negro Fund whose motto is that: “A mind is a terrible thing to waste.” Our goal is to serve the society with the love of God to prevent the loss of any precious human minds we encounter.

We intend, through our educational opportunities, to transform our students into citizens who are capable of serving humanity with integrity and selflessness in the best Christian tradition. Hence, the goal of Divine Mercy International Academy (DMIA) is to operate a STEM-Emphasis education that is equally committed to the production of well-rounded persons who are able to adapt to, as well as, make the world a better place for their fellow human beings.

STEM stands for: Science, Technology, Engineering and Mathematics. So, DMIA is STEM-Emphasis school serving as both an academic and a practical laboratory for the production of students who would be global leaders, because they are fully equipped academically, technically, morally and socially to rank among the best in the world.

 DMAIA is a morally and culturally based co-educational institution aimed at restoring and sustaining the traditional Igbo social ethics of competition, excellence, industry, and integrity while providing a liberal global education that is focused on literacy and numeracy, as well as technological development and preparation for higher education in liberal arts and entrepreneurship for the 21st Century and beyond. The institution shall nurture the students intellectually and morally as well as liberate them to be creative and innovative in all areas of human endeavor.
